park library

The library aims to be a continuation of the park - weaving and pulling the park through the learning space and encouraging those who visit the park to further their physical fitness, to also further their mental fitness.

The building achieves the weaving of the park and library programs through the use of an S-shaped module developed during a proto-building study. This module became successful because the walls can become the floors and can become the ceiling.

The module’s orientation helps define space but can also aggregate into larger open environments. The larger spaces then can contain weaving at smaller scale utilizing the now free plan.

The resulting library will provide a democratic outlook on both library and park, catering to all types of people who pass by or choose to inhabit it.
